Avalanche Alumni Weekend

The Telluride Lizard Head Hockey Club is pleased to announce that it will host the Colorado Avalanche Alumni Association over President’s Day weekend, February 19th and 20th, 2022.

Hockey players and community members – those locally in Telluride and any visitors – are invited to participate in the following events during the weekend. All proceeds from the event will be recycled back into the Lizard Head Hockey program to support hockey program and player development in Telluride.

2006-2008 Birth Years

1:45 PM – 2:45 PM
Saturday, February 19th

14 and 15U players are invited to skate with the Avs! This event will run from 1:45 PM – 2:45 PM on Saturday, February 19th and will involve skill drills and mini games.

FEE: $100 per player

2009-2012 Birth Years

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Saturday, February 19th

Squirt and peewee players are invited to skate with the Avs! This event will run from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 19th and will involve skill drills and mini games.

FEE: $100 per player

2013-2014 Birth Years

4:15 PM – 5:15 PM
Saturday, February 19th

Hockey players ages 8 and under (mini-mites and mites) are invited to skate with the Avs! This event will run from 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM on Saturday, February 19th and will involve skill drills and mini games.

FEE: $100 per player

2008 birth years or older to participate

10:30 PM – 1:30 PM
Saturday, February 19th

Form your own 3v3 team and compete in a round-robin tournament! Maximum team sizes are 6 people and the bracket will be formed once registration is complete. Winners will be eligible for prizes tbd!

FEE: $50 per skater

Participation in the 3v3 tournament will grant you spectator access to the VIP game at Hanley at 7 PM.

During the tournament, there will be live entertainment, food and beverages, and plenty of action!

5:30 – 6:30 PM
Saturday, February 19th

Telluride Lizard Head Hockey alumni players will face off against the High School team. The game will run from approximately 5:30 – 6:30 PM.

Participation in the Alumni game will grant you spectator access to the VIP game at Hanley immediately afterwards.

Saturday, February 19th

VIPs will play a full length game with Avalanche Alumni Players. Each team will be a mix of VIPs and Avalanche Alumni players. The puck drops at 7 PM. Fans will be in attendance and Hanley will be rockin’!

FEE: $3,000

Immediate family members of VIPs will have a ticket to the game. VIPs will have access to Sunday’s event at the Elks Club. VIPs will also receive a uniform for the game. Teams will be formed once registration is complete.

Coaching jobs for the VIP game will be auctioned to anyone interested in leading a VIP team to victory. Please click to register for more information.

Lock in your spot in the stands for the VIP game Saturday night at Hanley. Doors open at 6:30PM.

There will be food, beverages.

Sunday evening’s event will be held at the Elks Club with the Avs. There will be food, live music (2 bands), free beer and wine, and a silent auction! Event starts at 4:30PM!
